The galaxy of taste
When we were approached by the founders of the iconic restaurant “Ósma Kolonia” in the Żoliborz district, we faced the challenge of creating a new brand. It was nothing like those that were already available on the market.
We carried out the entire project in the Design Thinking methodology. We started with an analysis of the competition and consumer needs. Then, as part of the workshop and prototype ideation process, we developed further elements of the concept.
It quickly turned out that consumers don’t want to hear about diets, but about the pleasure of eating. Then, we found that they don’t necessarily need 5 meals a day. Usually, they would prefer to get less and supplement the caloric deficit on their own. Finally, it turned out that fresh, seasonal products are important, as is ecological packaging. Thanks to the fact that we discussed the brand’s elements step by step with future clients, we managed to create a strong, convincing concept.
At the same time, we created an appropriate visual language – planet-like vegetables. They appeared on bags, packaging, website, and application icon. The distinctive line and abstract, surreal form are completely amenable to development. Just as a chef uses seasonal ingredients to compose his meals, new, drawn vegetables can mark consecutive seasons of the year.
On the very first day of delivering meals, Dziewiąta Planeta had as many customers as it should have acquired after six months of operation. Branding was nominated for the KTR Advertising Creators Club award. That is why we are happy that we co-created catering, which definitely stands out in its category.
